Company Overview
Formed with just eight employees, Preconco Limited has evolved into the Caribbean’s leading design build precast and prestressed manufacturing company. We have been in business for over 30 years and specialize in commercial, hotel, residential, marine, infrastructure, turn key projects and more. We build precast buildings throughout the Caribbean and the Americas, some of our products include wall panels, hollow core floors ,columns, beams, stairs , elevator shafts and insulated panels, as well as an array of all types of precast concrete products.
Design and Engineering
Our involvement in projects normally commences at the design stage where our experienced engineering team focuses on designing efficiently and in accordance with American, British, Precast Concrete Institute and all local building standards, and have years of experience with high wind load and seismic design requirements. With our bespoke ability we are able to maintain the architectural requirements which are not common with other building systems. Our advanced engineering software integrates MEP and all services.
The Plant
Our state-of-the-art plant features an automated batch plant with a moisture control system, an automated reinforcement line, an automated carousel line for wall panels with a dedicated curing chamber, two hollow core beds and a diverse array of forms for our other products. We utilize the latest in laser technology for absolute precision in our product dimensioning. In addition to this, our production personnel are passionate about precast and pride themselves on delivering a quality product. We have dedicated teams focused on the quality control. There are pre-pour and post-pour checks performed on each element, along with a dedicated team of lab technicians who analyse our materials daily. We are mindful of our green foot print and as such we have a water recycling system, along with lumber and steel recycling in place; we also have a photovoltaic system which contributes to our green footprint.
Installation
At Preconco the installation of our products is done using our own dedicated crews. Our installation teams are experienced at collaborating with other trades, and at coordinating our works in the most efficient manner to deliver the completed structure in the best possible timeframe, while maintaining the quality in each installation. One of our dedicated crews can install up to 2500 square feet per day. The speed at which our Precast building systems can be built will outperform any other building system, while adhering to the highest standards of Health and Safety protocols; Health & Safety is paramount in all aspects of our business and our culture is built around this.
